ASSISTANT DIRECTOR COMMITTED SUICIDE
B. Sattenna, 35, a popular Telugu assistant director who recently made news by lodging a complaint against Ram Charan Teja'sMagadheera director S.S. Rajamouli for allegedly stealing his 'rebirth' concept in the flick, committed suicide in his house at Friends Colony in Puppalguda on Friday.
His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his rented house. A suicide note purportedly written by him stated that he regretted writing the ‘rebirth story’. “I don’t know if I should feel proud or bad for writing the story,” the note said.
He is survived by his wife Deepa Rani. Deepa claimed her husband had plans to carry out a legal battle seeking justice about his story being used to make Magadheera. However, she stated she did not have specific details about the case. Sattenna was the assistant director in Bhadrachalam, Chinnodu and Encounter.
