Priyamani turns glamorous in Balu Mahendra's next debut
BY KARPAGAM THYAGARAJAN
After playing a housemaid Thulasi opposite Srinivasan (Dhanush) in the much-acclaimed offbeat Tamil film Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam (2005), National award winning Priyamani will once again team up with director Balu Mahendra in his new Tamil film to be produced by an NRI Sri Lankan.
If Balu Mahendra's Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam had Priyamani portraying the role of a girl next door, his new film will have her in a glamorous role, it is heard. This yet-to-be-titled film will introduce a new face as the hero.
Cinematography will be handled by Anwar, a gold medalist from the Pune Film Institute. Music is by Balu Mahendra’s favourite Ilayaraja. This film is expected to start rolling in November 2010.
Priyamani is currently busy with five films: ace Mani Ratnam's Tamil and Hindi versions of Raavan, Master (Malayalam), Saadhyam (Telugu) and Eno Onthara (Kannada). Her recent releases are Raam (Kannada) and Shambo Shiva Shambo (Telugu).
