MARMADESAM NAGA DIRECTING SHANKAR’S FILM

February 21, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): Followed by the grand success of ‘Eeram’, director Shankar is back with yet another supernatural thriller titled ‘Anantha Purathu Veedu’. The film is directed by Naga, who has earlier made a TV series based on similar genre.
It seems that Naga’s narration of the TV series ‘Marmadesam’ has impressed Shankar so much that he decided to sign him on for this film. ‘Anantha Purathu Veedu’ features Nanda and Chaya Singh in lead roles. Nanda had previously performed an antagonistic role in ‘Eeram’ and this time he dons the lead role. Shankar was bowled over by Nanda’s extraordinary performance in ‘Eeram’ and offered him to perform the lead role.
The film revolves around a married couple who are returning to their hometown. As they decide to stay in their ancestral house that has been locked for the past 25 years, mysterious things start to happen and the haunting begins…
According to sources, shooting is almost complete and the film is slated to hit screens this April.
